Washable or Vintage?

Where a 2x8 Runner Works

Hallways about 9 to 10 ft long, galley kitchens, along one side of a bed and in front of long counters. For other lengths see 2x6, 2x10 and 2x12 runners, or all runner rugs.

What size is a 2x8 runner rug?

About 2 to 3 ft wide and 8 ft long. Washable runners come in set sizes close to this, and vintage runners are listed with their exact measured size.
How long should my hallway be for a 2x8 runner?

A hallway of roughly 9 to 10 ft works well, leaving about 6 to 12 inches of floor at each end.
Can I use a 2x8 runner in the kitchen?

Yes. It is a common size for galley kitchens and in front of long counters. A washable runner is the easiest option to keep clean.
What is the difference between washable and vintage runners?

Washable runners are printed, newly made and machine washable. Vintage runners are handmade Turkish pieces, one of each, with irregular measured sizes.
Do runner rugs need a rug pad?
