Turkish Wool Rugs, Handmade in Anatolia

Anatolia has one of the longest rug-weaving traditions in the world. Every piece in this collection is a handmade Turkish wool rug, woven in a village or town workshop and now decades old. There is only one of each.

Styles of Turkish Wool Rugs

  • Oushak: soft palettes and open, large-scale motifs from the Usak region.
  • Kilim: flat-woven wool with bold geometric patterns.
  • Tribal: nomadic and village designs woven from memory.
  • Faded and distressed: softened by decades of use and sun.
  • Tulu: long-pile Anatolian rugs made for warmth.

How They Are Made

What makes a Turkish wool rug different?

How do I care for a Turkish wool rug?

Vacuum with the beater bar off, blot spills immediately, use a rug pad and rotate the rug every six months.
